Thanksgiving doors of Welcome

 Welcome Friends

Welcome to my house where we are thankful for Jesus as our Savior !!!!!!!
Here is my first attempt at creating a door decorated for Thanksgiving.
I really enjoyed doing this project but I do wish I had given myself more time. Anyway if you want to see all the other doors, and they are magnificent. You can go to Karen's Some Days are Diamonds as she is the sponsor for this festive event. I am trying to get her sidebar posted but for now just click on her blog name. I am so thankful for all the wonderful people I have met these last six
months since I have been blogging. Thank you for your friendships ladies!!!

Here is my front door decorated for Thanksgiving. I still want to do a flag to celebrate my favorite holiday but I might not get the chance.

This planter has some ornamental kale in it still but everything else had to be added since it has been months since our last frost.

This wreath means alot to me it is actually a cross which I keep changing the decor on. It was turkey season here last month and the feathers are ones we found while out walking.Have a wonderful holiday with your friends and family remembering the Lord and giving thanks for all the Blessings we enjoy still in this country. God Bless! Meg

Hi Meg. You are so sweet. Thank you. To be quite honest, I was hoping we'd have a LITTLE MORE participation in November. But it's a tricky month, most people don't do much, or for people who don't live in the US, there is no Thanksgiving! LOL! But my one friend Mieke (Arts and Herbs) from Belgium was so caught up in it, she did it anyway! YAY!

Love your sweet door. But I do love purple! The flowers just pop!
So now I am going to go back in time and see what else you have posted. Am looking forward to it!

Thanks again for participating!
Karen

What a lovely entrance....LOVE the touches of purple/periwinkle blue all over!!

To answer your question, we just picked the end of our eggplant, we still have green tomatoes ripening downstairs & my herbs continue to survive the cold nights, but it won't be long before they're all frost bitten. We've had an unusually warm Oct/Nov.

I was very sorry to read about the passing of your son a year ago this past month. I hope you have found some Peace & that the upcoming holidays aren't too difficult for you.

fondly,
Rettabug

What a beautiful door--everything looks so pretty; and how nice when the things we use in and around our house have meaning for us, as well as looking lovely.
