15 May 2010

Welcome to our garden home and the third pink Saturday in May.
We have not seen the riot of the color that is going to come when the peonies begin to bloom so right now we will settle for the more subtle pinks like the crab- apple blossoms on my header or my not to subtle garden gloves which will soon not look too pink.
I may have showed you these petunias last season but they are a wonderful new proven winners introduction called Pretty Much Picasso and if you can find them it is worth the effort. We have purchased several to sell after we had a trial last season, they grow like crazy and I think that this urn has only one Pretty Much Picasso in it. The pink surrounded by the green edges is a show stopper.
When I had my store full time I had very little time for gardening and  I became quite indulgent with container gardening only to find they are just as much work to keep them looking good all season. Please head back to our host for Pink Saturday Beverly's How Sweet the Sound to see all the other Pink Saturday posts and have yourself a wonderful weekend. Blessings Meg

Hi Meg,

Yes, you can snag my PiNk Saturday button. :0) I've been rearranging so it's in the left side column at the bottom. It's 200px wide so it should fit your sidebar just fine..if you want it wider just let me and I'll re-size it for you.

You can upload it as a "picture" gadget and link it to:

Glad you like it. :0)

Have a wonderful day,
Stephanie ♥

Hey Meg, Our peonies are almost gone. I just love them and along with the pink rhododendrons they were quite the show stoppers! I haven't seen that particular petunia but will be looking for it and I agree with you that container garden is quite the upkeep. They dry out so fast. I hope you have a wonderful week.

That's a great looking container ... and those petunias are such a remarkable combination of colours. I haven't seen those for sale around here ... will definitely enquire about them.

I have many, many containers myself ... and you are so right ... they are a full-time job!

Beautiful Petunias! Unfortunately, they dont have them here either. Just found your blog. You have beautiful beds. I just started my blog in January.

Hi Meg! YOUR comment was a blessing! Thank you!
Love surfinias to pieces, I know the varieties with small flowers as 'Million Bells'-they bloom like crazy all over summer and early Autumn too! Your Pretty Much Picasso is amazing!!
Love the gloves too ;)
Happy belated PS,
Monicax.

What gorgeous petunias!

Did you look for the metal stamps on ebay yet? I bought mine from Harbor Freight online.
