Getting Ready for Valentine's

Hello friends,
If anyone would have told me that I could learn how to do photoshop elements a year ago I would not have believed them. But here I am and loving it, thanks to Kim at the Cafe [see my sidebar] I have been following Mary at Greenpaper for a long time and always wanted to do one of her monthly challenges
[she provides the emphemera and you do the creating] but alas never did.

But today I realized that Valentine's Day is just around the corner so I decided to  make a card for my sweetheart and I took her challenge.  Here is what I made.I am going to add a sentiment but haven't figured out what I want to say yet.  Have any ideas????
Thanks for sharing in my adventures! Blessings Meg

I love how you turned the ledger sheet into a frame! For a sentiment . . . I can't help but think, "I love you with all of my heart".

I agree with Lenna about the ledger sheet being used as the frame - great idea. Really pretty work. A sentiment? I suggest "Be mine", classic Valentine phrase.

Great valentine! Very clever way to use the ledger sheet.

Hi Meg,
I came here after reading your comment on Pam's blog. I had a tour of my yard one year, when a gal who was supposed to have it hurt her foot and wasn't able to do it. I had just started one of my beds, and was about to make some changes. It really would have better to do it the next year, but I decided our gardens are always works in progress.

I have way too many blogs I try to keep up with, but when I come across a Christian garden blogger, I add them to my blog roll.

Your Valentine is lovely! I'm not good at thinking of things to say on cards, so I'm no help there.

Dear Meg, I just responded to your question about the garden tour, then I clicked something and my comment disappeared. If you are getting this twice, please forgive me ... just delete one.

I do garden tours but they are a lot of work, so I wont do them two years in a row, and not unless I have help. I am fortunate that I have a willing sister-in-law plus a gardening friend, and of course my husband. The week up to the tour we weed and spread mulch. My husband puts away the junk that seems to lie around. The morning of the tour we deadhead.

The garden does not have to look perfect - your visitors will love it anyway.

Meg, if you don't have help, I would think about this very carefully. But you need to take into consideration - are the organizers depending upon you keeping your commitment?

I wish I lived close enough to help you. Good luck. P x

You can google valentine day quotes and find bunches (this is one of my "secrets" for finding birthday greetings--I just tweek them a bit, sometimes).

I need to read your blog more carefully. As I read the comments here, I "picked up" that you might have been invited to put your yard/garden on a garden tour????

Replace your furnace with one that has the Energy Star seal on it. You can save 15 to 20 percent on your month energy costs if you purchase a highly efficient furnace. You can even get a federal tax credit that will help cover the cost of your new furnace!mata Bhajan
