Greetings from the Northeast,
I very rarely cut my peonies because my hubby can't take the smell of them in the house. But I made an exception today knowing the temperature would reach 90, they will be short lived. These are in front of the house in a border garden so the people passing by get to enjoy them more than I do. I want to transplant them into the garden room but the fall chores take precedent and that hasn't happened yet. They are huge, dinner plate peonies and it doesn't get much pinker than this.
Also thought I would throw in a more subtle pink foxglove which started of white and slowly turned into this gorgeous shade of pink.
Hope you are having a wonderful weekend and be sure to get back to Beverly's at How Sweet the Sound and peruse all the other pink posts from around the globe. Blessings to you and yours. Meg

Peonies do not like my garden at all. They are so beautiful, too hot and humid for them in these Deep South furnaces we call our environment lately , pretty pictures too ! Gina
Nice and informative blog, has a similar theme to what I wrote on this blog.
Lovely! My garden needs more pink; it is the color that is missing! I wish I could grow foxgloves. I have a little garden damage after a huge storm last evening with 50-80 mph winds, but nothing too serious--I am thankful!
Oh I have never seen foxglove! That is so pretty!! Happy pink sat!
Gorgeous!! I LOVE peonies. They are my favorite flower (along with hydrangeas).
Their fragrance IS strong...but lovely. Hope hubby managed okay.
Have a lovely "pink" weekend,
Patti (Fill my Cup with Beauty)
I just love Peonies - never get tired of them. They have long gone in my garden!
I read your side note about your son. I am so sorry for your loss. I understand - my brother passed away in January.
I will add you to my prayers - God can give peace and joy again, I know this
Happy PInk Saturday,
Kathy
HAPPY BELATED PINK SATURDAY.
FIRST LET ME SAY I AM SO VERY SORRY FOR THE PASSING OF JONATHAN.
MY ONLY DAUGHTER AMY GRADUATED TO HEAVEN ON OCTOBER 23, 2009 AT 10:12 IN OUR HOME. SHE WAS 33 YEARS OLD.IT WAS HER SECOND TIME TO BATTLE CANCER. I HAVE KNOWN OF NO OTHER PAIN AS DEEP AND AS LIFE ALTERING.
YOUR PEONIES ARE GORGEOUS. STUNNING. IS THERE ANY WAY YOU CAN DRY PEONIES IN THE STUFF LIKE WEDDING BOUQUETS AND THEN THEY WOULD BE BEAUTIFUL FOREVER.
I LOOK FORWARD TO GETTING TO KNOW YOU AND SPENDING MANY MORE PINK SATURDAYS TOGETHER.
MANY HUGS
SIMPLY DEBBIE
Thanks for visiting my blog. Your peonies are just lovely!
